Why use water intake systems


Debris and sediment can plug nozzles and significantly damage runner blades and impellers in large hydro turbines. The water intake systems allows clean water to enter the intake system, while excluding leaves, silt particles and even fish eggs. Thus, a properly screen can easily create power without harming the environment. While prolonging turbine and impeller life, reduce repair and replacement cost.

Sieve bend screen


Sieve bend screen is used for intake structures of hydro plant, water conservation schemes and irrigation programs. The screen is installed on the side of intake weir, the curved face of the screen ensures that all excluded silt and debris is flushed away. The separated water passes through the screen and collects in a chamber beneath, which is connected to the pipeline or intake channel.


Wedge wire screen panels


Wedge wire screen panels are used for intake systems in irrigation programs and hydro plant. The screen can remove leaves, branches, moss, sand and mud from water. This prevents the plug nozzles, gated pipe, hydro turbines plugging up and results in reduced operation and maintenance costs, greatly improving the efficiency of uniform water distribution.
