Wedge wire screen panels are widely used in the production of malt, it’s the first step in the production of beer. At the malt house, barley by the process of steeping, germination and kilning can be converted into malt.

The wedge wire panels provide a bottom floor for germination vessels, produced process is laying the barley on the screen, add water and let barley immersed in it, after the barley has been soaked, remove the water and barley is left on the screen panels surface, while warm air is blown through the screen from the bottom to dry the barley and allow germination to take place. After steeping and germination the barley is moved to the kiln where it is roasted at high temperatures.
