Wire wrapped sand control screen is a perfect combination of a high performance wedge wire screen tube and a strong internal pipe. It utilises stainless steel V-shaped wire wrapped and welded onto supporting rods to form a outer screen that is assembled onto the perforated base pipe.

Wedge wire wrapped screen used as well screen provides down-hole sand control in oil, gas, waterflood, steamflood, water, and disposal wells. The screen is a filtration system for preventing sand and gravel from entering the screen, while allowing production fluid to flow into the well. The wire wrapped screen has almost 10 times more inflow area than slotted liners, the unique design help extend well life and reduce maintenance costs. For the section of profile wire is V shaped, the screen slot is narrow in the above and wide in the below, and thus be easy to leakage, wear and corrosion resistance, avoiding clogging and ensure smooth filtration.

Austenitic stainless steel 200 and 300 series: Grade 201 (1.4372), Grade 202 (1.4373), Grade 304 (1.4301), Grade 304L (1.4306), Grade 316 (1.4401), Grade 316L (1.4404), Grade 321 (1.4541)

Ferritic stainless steel: Grade 430 (1.4016)
