Slotted liner screen is one of the oldest sand control methods, is tubing with series of slots cut through a wall of tubular in an axial orientation. It is chiefly used as the water and oil reservation layer for sand control and increase the oil well's strength, integrality, and prevent rock pieces dropping into the water or the oil well. This type of slotted liner product is commonly used in sand control devices, especially useful for horizontal wells and low productivity wells. Slotted liner or standalone screen is a popular sand control screen in long horizontal completions and low productivity wells. Precision slotted liners are manufactured by CNC controlled slotting machines or laser machine, all slots are de-burred, cleaned and drift tested.

How it works?

The slotted liner screen works by allowing certain particle size coming through the surface with crude oil while keeping the bigger size sand staying outside, and thereby the anti-sand purpose is achieved.
